I’m so incredibly psyched to be part of this awesome flexi-disc box set being put together by my US label Astralwerks for this year’s Record Store Day! Having my music right next to acts like Kraftwerk, Hot Chip, and Air is a total dream come true. If you’re curious, my contribution is a self-produced four on the floor remix of my Free Dimensional deep cut “Put Me On”.
There are only 1250 limited edition sets so get on this before they’re gone!
Me and the Diamond Rings band performing “Runaway Love” at the Moog factory in Asheville, North Carolina. That’s Graham Van Pelt on rhythm guitar, Karl Skene on the Voyager(s), and Greg Santilly on the electronic drum pads.

Letterman writer Steve Young snapped this photo of me entering the Ed Sullivan Theatre right before taping “I’m Just Me” on October 26th, 2012. Notice the piece of hardened bubblegum on the window ledge! You can check out his website (celebrigum.com) for other photos he’s taken with blurry gum in the foreground.
I’ve made no secret in the past few years of my love for Marfa, Texas. In 2011, my bestie Colin Medley shot a video for the PS I Love You + Diamond Rings co-write “Leftovers” at the El Cosmico trailer park just outside of downtown. Since then my team and I have stayed over nearly every single time we tour the south.
Where’s this going? Well, for whatever reason I decided to visit Beyonce’s Tumblr this afternoon. To my surprise, I found some photos of her and her gang not only hanging out in Marfa, but hanging out in the exact same trailer where we shot our video! Skip the clip ahead to 2:05 and cross-reference with the candid photos of Beyonce below. I know she’s an independent woman but I still didn’t expect her to be the drinking beer in bed type. The more you learn!

Dave Pensado has mixed some of my favourite songs of all-time. In addition to working with Mariah Carey and Justin Bieber, he’s also the go-to guy for Atlanta’s The Dream, whose “Love King” was the main inspiration for my new song, “Day & Night”. He has a podcast called Pensado’s Place, and one of his recent guests was none other than my Free Dimensional co-producer Damian Taylor! Considering how much time Damian and I have spent listening to The Dream together I can’t even explain how awesome it is to see him on the show!
The whole thing is great but if you want to skip to Damian’s interview start at 11:11!
